Lime buildup is common in toilet bowls. The fix is easy. First, shut off the valve that supplies water to the toilet and then flush the toilet several times until it is empty. Soak paper towels with distilled white vinegar and lay them over the lime deposits letting them soak for a few hours. After removing the towels, use a scrub brush to remove any remaining lime sediment.
If a pipe ever freezes, you should make certain to shut off the water. This may keep the pipe from bursting and causing you major damage for your house. Make sure to shut the water off in the main valve, after which open the faucet that is closest to the frozen pipe so it can drain whilst it is thawing out.
Just as it sounds, passive sets up a passage from the solar energy to the source of the water. Passive uses the normal Plumbing house and gravity to transfer the water between the hot water faucets and the solar collector. There are no pumps in the passive system that moves the water along. When considering a solar hot water heater, the passive system is much easier to install and has very low maintenance. It is important to note that a passive system should probably not be used in cold climates. You can run the risk of freezing your pipes and having a real catastrophe.

Rather than leaving your lights on throughout the entire night, motion detecting lights will only light up when there is nearby movement. Also, intruders are more wary of lights that turn on because of their movements.
Why heat a garage? As discussed in one of my previous articles, a garage makes up about 20% of usable space in the average home and represents the most under-utilized space in most climates during the winter months. Think what you could do with that extra space on those cold winter days. Afterall, a heated garage can be a lot more than a depository for cars and junk.
